Reviews
01 · The diamond
Grown in controlled conditions rather than mined. Physically, chemically and optically the same as a mined diamond, often letting you choose a larger stone for the same budget. A gemmological laboratory can tell the two apart, and every lab-grown report says so.
02 · The price
A ring from a traditional jeweller pays for the showroom, the display stock and layers of markup. We have none of that. You pay for the gold, the diamond and the design.

The guide
Everything worth knowing before you choose: shapes, the 4Cs, gold and settings. Ask us anything, there's no such thing as a silly question.
The most sparkle of any shape, and the classic choice. The only shape with a full cut grade.
Elongated and flattering on the finger. Looks larger than a round of the same weight.
A softened square with pillowy corners and a romantic, vintage feel. Also comes elongated.
Square with crisp corners and bright sparkle. Its corners are protected by V-shaped claws.
A step cut with long, clean facets: less sparkle, more of a calm "hall of mirrors" glow.
A square step cut with cropped corners and an Art Deco character.
The clean outline of an emerald with the brilliance of a round. Durable cropped corners.
A teardrop that lengthens the finger. The point is held by a protective V-tip claw.
A boat shape with two points. The largest-looking shape for its carat weight.
How well a diamond returns light. Graded on round brilliants, from Excellent (GIA) or Ideal (IGI) down to Poor; other shapes are judged on polish and symmetry.
Graded from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). D–F are colourless; G–J are near-colourless, and G–H look white in most settings, especially in yellow or rose gold.
Inclusions and blemishes, graded from Flawless (FL) to Included (I1–I3). VS and good SI stones usually look clean to the naked eye.
Weight, not size: one carat is 0.2 g. A 2 ct diamond looks bigger than a 1 ct, but not twice as big across.
Every centre diamond we supply comes with a GIA or IGI grading report. Lab-grown reports clearly state the diamond is laboratory-grown. Each report has a unique number, often laser-inscribed on the diamond's girdle, that you can check yourself on GIA Report Check or IGI's verification.
Gold's natural warmth. Available in every karat from 10K to 24K.
Gold alloyed to a pale tone and usually finished with rhodium, which can be refreshed over time. Made in 18K and below.
Gold warmed with copper for a soft blush. Up to 18K, with a paler rose in 22K.
One diamond held in four or six claws. Timeless, and lets the stone speak.
A ring of small diamonds around the centre stone, for extra sparkle and presence.
A halo tucked under the centre stone, seen from the side: a quiet surprise.
A smooth rim of gold around the diamond. Modern, secure and practical for busy hands.
Small diamonds set closely along the band, held by tiny beads of gold.
Diamonds set half or all the way round. Full eternity bands can't be resized later.
Two stones side by side, one for each of you.
A centre diamond flanked by two smaller stones, often a third to a half of its weight.
An engagement ring paired with a wedding band, straight or curved to sit flush.

It depends on the design. We'll give you a timeline with your quote, before you commit to anything. If you have a proposal, wedding or special date in mind, tell us in your enquiry and we'll plan around it.
Every piece is quoted individually, so you'll know the full price before anything begins. Your quote sets out the payment terms, including any deposit, and nothing is made until you approve the design.
Because no two pieces are the same. The price depends on the design, the gold and the diamond you choose. Send us an enquiry and we'll prepare a quote for exactly what you want.
If you know the size, add it to your enquiry; our size guide in the form converts Canadian/US, UK and millimetre sizes. If you don't know it, or you're planning a surprise proposal, tick "It's a surprise" and we'll walk you through simple, discreet ways to find it.
Yes. Every centre diamond we supply comes with a GIA or IGI grading report. It records carat weight and quality, including colour and clarity grades on IGI reports, with a cut grade for round brilliants and polish and symmetry for other shapes. Lab-grown reports clearly state that the diamond is laboratory-grown. Small accent diamonds, such as pavé and halo stones, don't come with individual reports. Tell us if you prefer one laboratory over the other.
Both are real diamonds with the same hardness and sparkle, and both come with independent grading reports. Lab-grown often lets you choose a larger stone for the same budget; mined appeals if natural origin matters to you. For lab-grown diamonds we usually recommend IGI, which gives full colour and clarity grades. Tell us your priorities and we'll show you both.
Yes. Every centre diamond we supply has a report number you can look up on GIA Report Check or IGI's verification, and most stones are laser-inscribed with it on the girdle. Ask us for the report number with your quote.
Always. We work in 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K and 24K gold. 24K is pure gold and comes only in yellow, and 22K in yellow or a soft rose. Both are very soft, so for claw-set and pavé diamonds we recommend 14K or 18K. White gold is usually finished with rhodium, which can be refreshed over time. Tell us the karat and colour you'd like and we'll advise on the best option for your design.
Rings, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and anything else you have in mind. If it's jewellery and you can describe it, we can quote it.
